Owner Jeremy Bernstein (aka singer/songwriter Burnell Pines) has created a homey, rustic haven with yummy food, an atmospheric bar and live music that springs up like an artesian well, thanks to Jeremy and his many stellar musician buddies. Musical nights are a who’s who of locally based talent, often with a little comedy thrown in. Housed in the former Tiso’s, an old school Italian eatery, The Pines keeps the family feel with a funky-chic upgrade. And don’t miss the bathrooms, where artist-genius Will Lytle’s (Thorneater Comics) work decorates the walls from floor to ceiling. It’s the kind of spot where a local can walk in and know everybody, and newcomers are embraced with open arms.
