The Hoot is a three-day music festival at the Ashokan Center in Olivebridge (20 mins from Woodstock) and is the brainchild of Mike Merenda and Ruthy Ungar (Mike + Ruthy, The Mammals). The Hoot is a down-home, down-to-earth, music gathering where everyone is welcome.  The festival emphasizes folk, roots, singer/songwriters and having a good time.  The Summer Hoot happens outdoors on a sweet hill with handmade stages, and the Winter Hoot is inside the beautiful, rustic Ashokan Center main building.
